She's back........

Most people who have never been unemployed for a long period of time will never truly understand the wasteland that your life becomes. Constantly battling depression that gets deeper and deeper as time goes on, fighting off rejection at every turn, serious stress about finances, diminished or disappearing time with friends (both because depression makes you a drag and because of strained finances), etc etc. And of course, the thing people don't mention very often: a disappearing dating life. Because of the other reasons--lack of money, lack of confidence, and lack of feelings of self-worth--you rarely feel like putting yourself out there or that you would be worth anything to anyone else, so your dating life pretty much grinds to a halt.

I have to say, now that I've finally secured a job after much too long, I'm not feelings necessarily celebratory. It's hard to explain, but after going through all the crap I've gone through in the past year, getting back to a normal life doesn't feel like a major accomplishment or anything--it just feels like I'll get to go back to a normal life. Maybe I'll feel like celebrating later, but for now, I'm just relieved to not have to live like a zombie anymore.

Therefore, I'm relieved about all these things--relieved to have a little more financial security, relieved to get back into an apartment and have some independence again, relieved to be able to see my friends more often. But I have to say that I am also very relieved and excited to get back out on the market again--meet all sorts of people, do all sorts of fun activities, go out and let a guy treat me once in a while, and of course, get some decent material for this blog. Stay tuned, folks, this girl's been off the market for a while and wants to make up for some lost time.

Taylor Swift

As much as I find her annoying, she gave good advice at her concert today. See the good in everyone upon meeting them. If they mess up and say they are sorry forgive them. If they mess up twice for the same reason forget them... So true girl!!!
That is probably why she goes though men like water...

Know your role!

My parent's tax woman is sooooo rude! She asks about me because she did my taxes many moons ago with her. This is before I figured out how easy they are to do yourself.. Question 1: How is your daughter is she married yet? I'm aware those are two separate questions, but this woman combines them into one... How rude can you be!?! Ask what I'm doing or what's new in my life? Always wants to know if I'm married... Then when they say her next question is any suitable prospects? If she ever asks me I'm going to tell her I like girls. Maybe that will shut her nosey ass up!!!

The world is a vast place my friends

Time after time I will run into people from high school. Not by choice, just by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Guess who they dated or married? Another person from that high school. I find this sickening. These are also the same people that think you must have a significant other in your life 24/7 to be complete. Guess what, people, there is more to the world than what is in the town boarders. Just know I find you people just as sad for dating only one person your whole life! How can you only have sex with one person your whole entire life? What a waste! You probably do not even know what good sex is.
